Fishing can commence at first light and must end at dusk.

 

No fishing can occur on stocking day or December 25th.

 

If fishing on the River Taff, times and fishing restrictions vary throughout the year.

Members are entitled to 6 fish per week but are limited to 3 per day.

​

The fishing week runs Sat-Sat

 

Fly and Worm fishing only. No spinning.

​

All members are required to carry membership cards whilst fishing on Taff Bargoed Fishing waters.

 

All members are entitled to confirm a fisherman's membership at any time and also produce their membership card when requested by Taff Bargoed Fishing Member.

 

Brown Trout - fishermen are requested to return Brown Trout safely where possible. Fishermen are to return all Brown Trout during the months from Oct - Mar due to closed off Brown Trout season.

 

Taff Bargoed Fishing Club encourages the Catch and Release policy of Wild Brown Trout, members cooperation would be appreciated as this will increase the Wild Trout Population.

 

Taff Bargoed Fishing Club are not the sole users of the water. All fisherman are to remove all personnel waste from the water edge once they have finished fishing.

 

All fisherman are to observe members of the public whilst fishing due to the public path around the fishing lake.
